Nothing says “love is in the air” like spending Valentine’s Day in Barbados
With palm trees and sunset beaches as the backdrop, there are so many options for choosing outfits for your next Caribbean vacation. I visited the island of the sun this past Valentine’s Day to celebrate my cousin’s wedding.
My clothing mood-board was resort chic. Think: hues of gold, browns and burnt orange. I selected outfits that were relaxed enough for walks on the East Coast but also eye-catching for visits to Bridgetown or dinner in St. Lawrence Gap. In my suitcase were a mix of maxi and mini dresses, patterned crop tops, cut out tops and skirts. I brought about 6 pairs of shoes – only to keep reaching for these white sandals from Target. Most days were spent in sandals but my nights were for strutting in my favorite wedge and stiletto heels.
Let’s not forget the reason for the trip: I packed an ASOS strapless floor length lime gown as my wedding guest dress. This dress is an oldie… but goodie! I’ve had this timeless piece for years and have only worn it a handful of times.

Strapless Wedding Guest Gown
This standout gown is made for the special occasions in your life. I kept my jewelry and bag simple because the dress is the star of this show.
Floor Length Maxi Dress
A maxi dress is a must have for any vacation. This floor length earth tone dress is from Andrea Iyamah. I paired it with chandelier earrings and my favorite straw bag.
Puff Sleeve Bodysuit
This Fe Noel bodysuit is the perfect amount of drama and charm.

Cut out skirts pair nicely with bustier tops. I added a pop of color with these Kendall Miles White Pumps.
