Fully embraced by womenswear, oversized shirts have become the preferred everyday top. Traded in by fitted tees and more versatile than crop tops emerges oversized shirts as the functional and chic winner. It’s hard not to see the appeal. With their dynamic silhouette and ease of wear, oversized shirts make for an effortless pairing with wide-leg pants, baggy jeans or your favorite joggers.
Less is more, but the style pairings you get with oversized shirts are worth the additional fabric. I have my fair share of these tops varying in patterns and material. While previous versions of the oversized shirt felt way too big on me or incongruent with my skinny jeans obsession in the late 2000s, I am thankful that we have finally found our groove.
