What I Wore: Work Style as a Data Analyst

Let me start off by saying that Blake Gifford (@signedblake) has done it again with her most recent Amazon the Drop collection. Also, it is very important to note – Cyan Blue is THAT girl. The limited collection was worth the 3 alarms I set on launch day.  If you see me styling this suit again and again, just know that you’ve been fairly warned!

My capsule wardrobe will always include a suit. One reason being is I enjoy wearing blazers. Dressing them up or dressing them down always adds to the longevity of these items in my closet – thereby maintaining their status as a capsule wardrobe item. Secondly, for all of my corporate, academic or girl boss cuties, we know how important it is to be on brand and presentation ready. Whether you are presenting to a room of 5 people or a room of 500, you want to feel empowered and capable.

I can’t speak enough about the quality of this suit. Quality is a critical aspect to keep in mind when making a suit purchase of any kind. The double breasted buttons, length of the trousers and sheer sleeve are the main reasons I enjoy wearing this suit. With this suit I can freely move and it pairs so nicely with my Nike Sacai for a fun after work look.

Whether you are looking to add a little excitement to your work style or you simply enjoy a good suit, there is a suit out there for you. Don’t be afraid to incorporate color or a few embellishments. A great suit is timeless.
