Labor Day Sunday was my last wedding of the season. Outfits aside, this wedding season has been a really good one. There’s few things I enjoy more than seeing the people I care about celebrate love and joy. And one thing is certain, the guests at the weddings I attend will be dressed.
As someone that likes to treat their hairstyles as an art form, I’ve gone beyond the traditional wedding guest hairstyles to include elements that give the style boldness and creativity. Ahead I am sharing the inexpensive hair accessories that can enhance your wedding guest hairstyle.
The good thing about outdoor weddings is that it’s outdoors. The bad thing about outdoor weddings is that it’s outdoors. I was debating how I should wear my hair for the most recent wedding I attended because I was worried that the humidity would cause the curls to drop. And while there was frizz and a few droopy curls, I was definitely pleased with how the style held together by the end of the night.
I purchased this rhinestone hair comb on Amazon a week before my friend’s wedding. Thanks to the perm rod set my hair stylist did a few nights before the wedding, the final look came out way better than I expected.

This next look was frizz proof and super sleek. Low ponytails have become a bridesmaid’s go to look. In two weddings where I served as a bridesmaid, both brides wanted a low ponytail or bun. Now it has sort of become a hairstyle that is in my frequent rotation as well.
Earlier this summer I did a pearl ponytail for a wedding I attended. I kept the target of the pearls localized to the ponytail as opposed to on my head. The pearls added a mystique to the hairstyle and complimented the elegance of the black tie affair.
The secret sauce is in the placement of the hair accessories. I bought this assorted 18 piece pearl pin set from Amazon. Have fun mixing and matching or use the same pins for a more uniformed look.
